Book HeART ♥ #21 - Kenjio Book Sculptures

I was browsing book arts on Tumblr when I saw this great book sculpture by Kenjio. I said I have to feature this here on my book blog to share with you guys how awesome the sculptures are!

I'm just supposed to post a photo or two of the sculptures but when I visited Kenjio's Etsy site, can't help but share my favorites. Actually almost all of them are my favorites. I wish I could buy even one sculpture. It would be a great and inspiring decoration. Also the inspiration of the artist in creating these masterpieces are just admirable. All about the concept of new knowledge.

Based on the descriptions, the artist created clay sculptures and he used old books and vintage encyclopedias that are cut and folded. I really admire his awesome book scultptures! See more of Kenjio's creations on his etsy site.

Book HeART ♥ # 20 - Biografias by Alicia Martín

I've been seeing this masterpiece called Biografias by Alicia Martín where books seem to pour out of the windows of a building making a giant sculpture. It looks weird at first but I guess it's a fun way to display unused books. Here are some of her works:

Book HeART ♥ #19 - Book Ends

This week's book heart will definitely make your bookshelves more adorable with these really cute book ends.

Loving this book end!
I also saw creative book ends on Etsy. These are made by Knob Creek Metal Arts.

There are other great designs to choose from on the Etsy site. I think they also accept custom designs. It would be great for our bookshelves! I also saw this really cool book end.

The Arrow Magnetic Bookends is one of my favorite. Looks like it shot right through the books right? Really cool! Hopefully these book ends will make you buy more books.

Book HeART ♥ #12 - Guild Hunter Chibi

Such a cutie right? I got this from Nalini Singh's website. The Guild Hunter series is my current favorite! Although I haven't read the other books yet, I heard that as the series progresses, it gets better! Here's my review of the first book Angels' Blood. I'm excited to read the next book in the series, Archangel's Kiss, that garnered high ratings from Goodreads. Fellow book blogger Gabby reviewed the third book and rated it five. So far, it's her favorite book in the series! I have to push those books to the top of my to-read pile! :)

Book HeART ♥ #3 - Book Handbag

This week's book art would be a DIY on how to make your book into a handbag. Since the previous book art I posted was about book purse, why not try to make one yourself! How does that sound? :)

Source
All you'll need, in addition to the book itself, is half a yard of fabric, a $4.99 handle kit, some ribbon, a button--and a free afternoon. The book can be a used one, better if it's an old book that you want to recycle.

The instructions are very easy. It doesn't need sewing. You just have to glue a little of this and that...

And there! You have created your book bag! For more details, just click the source above! :)
