Summary:
Mikael Blomkvist, a once-respected financial journalist, watches his professional life rapidly crumble around him. Prospects appear bleak until an unexpected (and unsettling) offer to resurrect his name is extended by an old-school titan of Swedish industry. The catch—and there’s always a catch—is that Blomkvist must first spend a year researching a mysterious disappearance that has remained unsolved for nearly four decades. With few other options, he accepts and enlists the help of investigator Lisbeth Salander, a misunderstood genius with a cache of authority issues. Little is as it seems in Larsson’s novel, but there is at least one constant: you really don’t want to mess with the girl with the dragon tattoo.
Review:
I was really intrigued what this series is all about. So I checked reviews before actually buying the series. The title and the cover are also catchy! When I started reading it, I’m excited because the prologue has some mystery. I really like mystery suspense books! After the first chapter I thought I would get bored with all those financial controversies. However, when Lisbeth Salander was introduced to the story, I kept reading until I got really hooked to the story. It’s not only all about the mystery but also the morals explained about domestic violence in Sweden.
- So that was my short review of the first book. At that time I was still confused if the series amazed me. But one thing's for sure, Lisbeth Salander's character blew me away!

I've read a lot and seen a lot of people reading this book...or trilogy.
My curiosity is now trying to get the best of me...maybe one of these days I'll reading this book, too!:-)
I'm now your follower, btw! :-)
Happy Reading!
Hi! Thanks for dropping by my site and for following. I recommend the trilogy! However just a caution, this book may not be for the fainthearted. I thought I can't handle all the cruelty involved in the story. But I guess what really drove me in was the morals about women. Enjoy! I hope you give it a try! :)
